By selecting a Refund Transfer, you pay no out-of-pocket expense to have your tax return prepared. Tax preparation fees are paid directly from your refund.
Once the IRS accepts your e-filed return, your refund is typically available in as little as 8 days. Choose whether you want to receive your money via check, direct deposit or on a prepaid debit card. You receive your money upon IRS funding.
If you are expecting a refund, you may select the Refund Transfer product from TPG through your tax preparer. You sign a simple authorization form allowing your tax preparer to deduct the preparation fees from the refund.
Your tax return (including the TPG Bank information) is e-filed to the IRS, and the IRS is instructed to route the refund through the bank.
Once they get your refund, TPG takes out all associated fees giving you the balance of your refund amount with 3 options: Either as a direct deposit into your bank account, a check printed at our office, or your refund can be placed on a Green Dot Prepaid Debit Card. The Green Dot Prepaid Debit Card is instantly issued to you in our office before you leave.
